Nikon has released an entry level device as the first in a range of a new series of digital camera. According to Japan Today, the The D3100 is equipped with an LCD touch screen, complete with guide mode and assist mode that enhance the photographic quality of pictures, even in the hands of casual users.
The D3100 can record in high definition and – with an impressive 14.2 MP lens and large touchscreen – seems to be positioning itself as a gateway camera to those making the switch from stills to digital, or indeed for newbie photographers wishing a gentle introduction to the technology.
